How to differentiate Silk Quilts?
Very importantly for customers who intend to purchase silk quilts, they are advised to identify pure silk compared with those cloned ones. Therefore you really need to have some certain knowledge how to distinguish the real and the fake silk quilts.

Below are some of the techniques on how to distinguish the silk quilts
Cloned silk quilts are made by using 30% pure silk and 70% silk waste or cotton to make the inner fill of silk quilt. The prices of these silk quilts are low and usually sold in tourist attraction spots or sold by street hawkers. These quilts are stitched and the thickness is irregular, not flexible or elastic and not smooth.
Other silk quilts are made by the Tussah (wild silkworm) silk or other short fiber silk-floss. The quilt cover has only an opening with a 30cm zipper. This short open is to avoid the customer for checking in depth of silk-floss. Prices are rated as middle class about 60% of the genuine ones. Although the appearance of this kind of silk quilt is almost the same as the genuine one, just to remind all customers that the seller has no guarantee or after sale service to their products sold.
